"When traveling constantly I realized that there was a need for an executive hotel, but with boutique hotel features with good personalized service." With this project, Don Aldo combined some of his main passions: business, art, design and construction.

Don Onofrio Aldo Annese spent his childhood in the difficult time of the Italian economic recovery. He studied for an industrial expert and at the age of 24 he emigrated to Venezuela with an uncle who had a footwear industry. For more than 25 years he ventured into the hotel industry with the Park Hotel, in the Guatemalan region of Petén.

The construction of an apartment complex was the first step in the real estate sector of the business group and consecutively Studio Hotel opened in 2010.

In addition to combining construction with lodging in a promising business, there is space to exhibit one of his passions, art. “In this building there are components of every part of my life and I want to reflect it in different art works. There is a bit of Italy, Guatemala and now Costa Rica.”

Studio Hotel is the first art themed hotel in Costa Rica, being ambassador of one of the largest private collections of Costa Rican art in the country, with a mix of styles, periods and outstanding artists.
