Blue Flag Ecological Program – Climate Change Category

The Blue Flag Ecological Program was designed in 1996 by the National Water Laboratory of the Aqueducts and Sewers Institute (AYA), initially for beaches. It wasn’t until 2008 that the sixth category, titled “Actions to Address Climate Change,” was established. This category aims to promote actions in public and private entities to implement measures across eight specific parameters: fossil fuels, water, wastewater treatment, energy, waste management, refrigerant gases, sustainable procurement, and climate change adaptation.

The Blue Flag Ecological Program is an award granted annually to recognize the effort and voluntary work in favor of conservation and sustainable development. Studio Hotel has participated four consecutive times and is currently awarded with one white star and one silver star.
